Update Nov 12 2:26 p.m.: The excavation to make the repairs to the mainline valve is complete. As you can see in the picture, AT&T & Comcast have electrical conduit pipes that cross almost directly over the valve where access was needed. (See photos below). Crews were not able to exclusively use heavy equipment to excavate the pipe but needed to utilize manual tools to reach the valve safely, extending the timeline of the repair. As the crew now has access, the repairs are taking place. Water is expected to be restored by 5:00 p.m. today. If you experience a continued loss of water pressure after that time, please contact Inframark directly at (281) 579-4500, Option #3. Thank you for your patience as we work to repair this valve and restore water to your District.
Update Nov 12 1:36 p.m.: Due to delays in excavation of the line, the operator is expecting to restore water pressure by 4:00 pm. Stay tuned for more updates as they develop.
Original Nov 12 11:20 a.m.: Westlake MUD 1 would like to inform residents and businesses that the District operator, Inframark, will be repairing a mainline valve today beginning at 11:30 a.m. During this time, the water to specific areas of the District will be turned off. The goal is to have the water back on within a period of two hours. If you experience a continued loss of water pressure after 2:00 p.m., please contact Inframark at (281) 579-4500, Option #3 so that they can address and document the occurrence.
