Beginning Tuesday, November 24th through Wednesday, November 25th, 2020, the Valve Flow Testing project will resume. During this time, areas of Westlake Village (portions of Younglake, and south of Younglake) may experience brief drops in pressure (no longer than 20 minutes). The flow testing project is expected to be completed on Wednesday, November 25th, 2020. If residents experience service interruption after 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, please contact Inframark’s Customer Service center directly at: (281) 579-4500, Option 3.
Westlake MUD 1 and Inframark thank you for your patience as they work to complete this project.
See photo below for more detail. The area left to be surveyed is circled in red.
Updated Nov 18 4:18 p.m.:
Due to two Inframark technicians testing positive for COVID today, the Valve Project and Flow Testing has been placed on hold. With shortened crews, the timeline for completion of this project is currently being evaluated. When more information is available, residents can expect to be informed of the new project timeline. Rest assured that Inframark and Westlake MUD 1 are taking every precaution to minimize risk to District residents.
Original Nov 9 4:53 p.m.:
In an ongoing effort to keep residents of the District informed, the Board of Directors for Westlake Municipal Utility District No. 1 (Westlake MUD 1) will be sending notifications of relevant maintenance.
As residents may be aware, last week Inframark successfully performed replacements of High Priority Valves within the District’s Water Distribution System. During the replacement, it was observed that several of these isolation valves were stamped “1972”, indicating that they have been in service for nearly 50 years, further confirming that the replacement was necessary.
To ensure each of the new valves are accessible and properly functioning, Phase Two of the Valve Project is scheduled to begin Wednesday November 11, 2020 and is expected to be completed by 5:00 p.m. Wednesday November 18, 2020.
During this time Westlake MUD 1 residents will see a heightened presence of Inframark personnel performing the valve flow testing. Testing is planned to occur during business hours (7 a.m. – 5 p.m.) on the dates listed below. Though it is not expected that testing will have a major impact on District residents, during this time frame residents may experience very brief drops in their water pressure (no longer than 15 minutes).
As always, the Board of Directors and Inframark are working to ensure the water system that provides water to the District is functioning properly and will keep residents informed as to the progress of this project.
The following areas are scheduled to be worked on during the time frame listed below:
November 11th, 12th, and 13th: | North of Saums - Westlake Forest |
November 16th and 17th: | South of Saums, West of Whiteback - Westlake |
November 17th and 18th: | South of Saums, East of Whiteback - Westlake Village |
Please review the following map for more information:
If residents have questions or concerns during normal business hours, please contact Inframark directly at: (281) 579-4500, Option #3. Again, this maintenance is scheduled to be performed during the day and low pressure should be briefly intermittent. If residents experience a loss in water pressure or outage after 5:00 p.m., please contact Inframark’s emergency line at: 281-398-8211 and a technician will be dispatched immediately.
Westlake MUD 1 and Inframark would like to thank you in advance for your patience, and are making every effort complete this phase of the project as quickly and efficiently as possible to minimize any inconvenience to you and your family.
It is the goal of the District to ensure that everyone in the community has up to date information before and during this phase of the project. For more information, and to receive future alerts, please contact Inframark at (281) 579-4500, Option #3 and update your account with a current cell phone number.
