Many residents should be receiving their January water bills soon and may notice the West Harris County Regional Water Authority (WHCRWA) fee on the bill has increased again this year.
The Westlake MUD 1 Board would like to make residents aware of the changes to the WHCRWA fee structure effective January 1, 2020. The rate has increased from $3.25 per 1000 gallons pumped to $3.50 per 1000 gallons. This includes a minimal administrative fee for lost water accountability and managing the fee collection.
Please note that the increased fee is charged to the district by the WHCRWA and is passed through to residents via their water bills. For more detailed information regarding the WHCRWA, its purpose, and its ongoing capital improvement projects, please visit www.whcrwa.com.
